8951 Microcontroller Board

General description

The ELC8951 is a single board microcomputer for general use based on ATMEL AT89C51AC3 compatible at object code level with all the Micro of the 8051 INTEL family. This card is aimed at designers, technicians, hobbyists and students.

The ELC8951 can easily interact with external devices by receiving and processing digital and analog signals from sensors and transducers and can operate relays, lights, motors and any other actuator with electrical activation. The code for the ELC8951 board can be developed using, in addition to the numerous development tools available on the market and on the network for the 8051 family, also the well-known BASCOM-8051 compiler from MCS Electronics.

Excellent standard C cross-compilers with integrated IDE are also available, such as the READS51 from RIGEL or the MIKROC PRO from MIKROELEKTRONIKA, a very advanced compiler for the 8051 family. The integrated IDE BASCOM-8051 system allows program development, test and debug of the same with the integrated simulator and finally the transfer of the final program in the FLASH of the Micro via RS232C or USB serial port.

The automation, supervision and control systems based on the Micro of the 8051 family and developed in the BASCOM-8051 IDE environment are not limited to the amateur and hobby field but extend to professional applications, as evidenced by the numerous application examples available on the net.

Taking advantage of the considerable diffusion of the 8051 family and the relative large quantity of application software and public domain libraries, it is possible to create even complex projects, minimizing time and costs; it is also possible to assemble target boards containing only a Micro of the 8051 family and the few components strictly necessary for the specific application, on which the software developed with the ELC8951 will be loaded.

The ELC8951 board is supplied fully assembled and tested, only the printed circuit is available on request.
